Infinite Power Solutions Raises $34.7M
Golden, Colorado-based Infinite Power Solutions said today that it has raised $34.7M in a venture capital round to support its thin-film battery technology. The firm said it will use the funds to build new facilities for high-volume manufacturing of its products. The round was led by D.E. Shaw Group and Polaris Venture Partners, and included new investors Core Capital Partners and Applied Ventures. Existing investors Advanced Energy Technologies and SpringWorks also participated. Infinite Power Solutions is commercializing thin-film battery technology, which can be applied to create ultra-thin, rechargeable micro-batteries.
