Crosswalk Launches Grid Storage Software
Westminster, Colorado-based Crosswalk said today that it is launching a new product that allows applications to access storage resources and file systems in a grid. The firm's iGrid storage software is targeted at high performance technical computing and grid computing projects. The company's product provides parallel file system access for clusters, used by the HPC community to do computationally intensive computer work. The firm said that its iGrid product provides data sharing across application servers and storage resources, along with a single system view of a customer's storage environment. Crosswalk is headed by Jack McDonnell, former founder of McData.
