EnVysion Raises $3.0M
Boulder, Colorado-based EnVysion has raised $3.0M in a first round of private equity funding. The firm said today that it received the investment from Columbia Capital and Bear Equity. Bear Equity is owned by Envysion's chairman, Dan Caruso. The firm also reported that it raised an angel round of funding in December from Ledcor Technical Services and angel investors. EnVysion is developing video surveillance systems based on broadband connectivity. The firm will use the proceeds to develop a new Internet platform for its service-based business model, and to fund ongoing operations. The company is targeting food service, hotel, and retail businesses, and also said that it is targeting another round of funding in Spring 2007. More information »
