Plasmon Appoints VP

Denver, Colorado-based Plasmon, a provider of optical libraries and drives for the archiving and storage market, has appointed a new executive. The firm said it has appointed Mike Koclanes as SVP Sales and Marketing, covering the Americas and Asia Pacific. Koclanes joins from CreekPath Systems, where he was CEO and CTO of the firm. Koclanes has also served at Sun Microsystems and Exabyte. Plasmon is a provider of UDO drives and optical storage media and libraries.
