Corrent Releases Security Appliance
Tempe, Arizona-based Corrent said today that it has released a new, unified threat management appliance based on the Microsoft Internet Security and Acceleration Server. Corrent said that the appliance provides hardware-enforced, distributed denial of service (DDoS protection) and is based on Sybari Antigen software. Corrent is a provider of securit processors. The company said that the appliance is based on its I/O subsystem, which includes dual-port Gigabit Ethernt cards, RISC-based Corrent security processors, and memory subsystems. The company's products are designed to enhance content inspection and virus detection.
