Cymphonix Releases New Security Gateway Appliance
Sandy, Utah-based Cymphonix has released a new hardware platform for its smart gateway appliance, Network Composer. The firm said today that it has released a new appliance which hosts its software, based on a dual-core Intel Xeon processor running at 2.0 GHz. The new appliance doubles its HTTP throughput to 45 Mbps. The firm said the upgrade allows the company to address the needs of mid-sized companies. Cymphonix develops network threat protection and security software used for managing network resources, and is backed by Intel Capital, Prospector Equity Capital, and vSpring Capital.
