Cornice In Joint Development Partnership With Fujitsu

Longmont, Colorado-based Cornice today said that it has launched a strategic development project with Fujitsu Limited, to develop 1.8 inch disk drives for the consumer electronics industry. Cornice said that the two companies will focus on a new line of consumer electronic-focused hard drives aimed at the audio/video portable storage market. The companies are targeting mass production of the new 1.8-inch drives by mid-2007. Cornice said that it will immediately begin hiring development engineers in Longmont as part of the joint development project.
