Photobucket Caught Up In User Backlash Over Embedding Policy
Denver-based Photobucket has been caught up in a major, user backlash, after the photo storage site quietly changed its terms of service to prohibit embedding of images--without paying $400 a year for an upgraded account. Millions of images across the web--including many embedded into e-commerce sites like eBay--disappeared from accounts which were not "Plus Accounts" on Photobucket over the last week, after Photobucket rolled out its new terms of service.
