Denver-based
AMP Robotics Corp., which is developing robots for the recycling industry, has raised $16M in a Series A funding, the company announced this morning. The funding came from Sequoia Capital, along with prior investors BV, Closed Loop Partners, Congruent Ventures, and Sidewalk Infrastructure Partners and others. Shuan Maguire of Sequoia Capital will join the company's board with the funding. Sidewalk Infrastructure Partners is an investment firm backed by Alphabet Inc. and Ontario Teachers’ Pension Plan. AMP Robotics is developing robotic systems which automates the identification, sorting and processing of materials.
