Nuvi, the developer of software used to monitor social media posts, has acquired
Banyan, a developer of social software used by healthcare providers to connect with patients. Financial details of the buy were not announced. According to Nuvi, the acquisition will allow it to offer up an enterprise-class, HIPAA-compliant social media that helps healthcare providers, payers, and organizations to engage with patients. Nuvi's social listening and sentiment tools are used to analyze social channels, including social media sites, blogs, RSS feeds, news articles, and more to help with social media management and brand management.
