Sphero has launched a brand new robotic ball this morning, the
Sphero BOLT. According to Sphero, the new robot is aimed at the educational market, and helping teach kids about science, technology, engineering, art, and mathematics. The robot features a multi-color LED matrix, and a special app, Sphero Edu, which connects kids, parents, and educators into a community to share curriculum, projects, and other information. Sphero says the product is the "most educational product to date" from the company. The new robot retails for $149.99; Sphero is also selling "classroom packs" for $1949.99 and $2499.99 for 15 of the devices and various accessories.
