A large, business process outsourcing provider--
TaskUs--said this week that it plans to hire around 700 people at a new operation in downtown Albuquerque. According to TaskUs, it expects to create nearly 700 jobs in downtown Albuquerque, for a new Technical Operations and Customer Experience Center. TaskUs, which provides a wide range of back end business process support for major Internet, on-demand, and other services, has been in rapid expansion mode, including hiring nearly 2,000 people at three locations in Texas recently, and also has a big overseas operations in the Philippines. TaskUs says it will invest $9M in a new downtown location in Albuquerque. TaskUs is backed by private equity investor Blackstone Group.
