The Carlyle Group, the private equity investor which owns a significant stake in Denver-based data center operator
CoreSite Realty, has sold 2,250,000 shares of its common stock via a stock offering, CoreSite said on Monday afternoon. According to CoreSite, after completion of the offering, The Carlyle Group will continue to own 11,525,390 partnership units in its operating partnership--or approximately 23.9 percent of the company. The offering was underwritten by Citigroup and Credit Suisse Securities. Carlyle Group has been gradually cutting its stake in CoreSite, which it took public in 2010.
