Tempe, Arizona-based online used car seller
Carvana--the rapidly growing company which went from spinoff in 2014 to IPO last year, has opened up another of its "car vending machines" in its home city, Tempe. According to Carvana, the "vending machine" is its 12th, and can hold up to 34 vehicles. Carvana lets buyers of its vehicles visit its vending machines, and insert a (symbolic) coin to retrieve the car they have purchased from the company, from an automated system. The new building is 9 stories high, and is the largest for Carvana. Carvana said the new all-glass "Car Vending Machine" is the third it has launched this month.
