Occipital Raises $12M More For 3D Scanning, Mapping

Occipital
, which develops 3D sensors used for scanning and mapping a physical environment using computer vision and mobile devices, has raised $12M in a Series C funding, the company revealed this week. The funding was led by Foundry Group. Occipital says its 3D scanning software allows for adding large-scale reconstruction and augmented reality support on existing, mobile devices.
