Ancestry.com appears to be headed on its way to an initial public offering, and has
started to talk to investment bankers about a filing, according to a report. Bloomberg cited "people with knowledge of the matter" in reports that Ancestry.com had spoken with Morgan Stanley, Goldman Sachs, and J.P. Morgan to lead an offering for the company. Ancestry.com is owned by Silver Lake and GIC, which acquired Ancestry.com for around $2.6 billion in 2016.
