Westminster, Colorado-based satellite imaging provider
DigitalGlobe said on Friday that it has begun serving up access to the satellite to its first "direct access" customer, after completing testing and calibration of the imaging satellite. DigitalGlobe said it will begin adding other, direct access customers to the service throughout 2017. WorldView-4 is the fifth active satellite in DigitalGlobe's satellite constellation, and provides 30 cm native resolution--enough, the company says, to distinguish between cars, trucks, and vans on the ground.
