Nearmap, an Australian company which has its U.S. headquarters in South Jordan, Utah, said over the holidays that it has raised $15M via a stock placement, to help grow sales and marketing in the U.S. Nearmap provides high resolution, aerial imagery in the architecture, construction, and government area. The firm--traded on the ASX as NEA--recently posted before-and-after pictures of recent growth of
Utah's tech industry at Thanksgiving Point, and the
Overstock Peace Coliseum. The company uses proprietary hardware attached to aircraft for its aerial imaging service.
