Zayo Group has acquired fiber operator
Electric Lightwave, in a deal worth $1.42 billion in cash, Zayo announced this morning. Electric Lightwave--formerly known as Integra Telecom--has more than 12,000 route miles of fiber across the Western U.S. Electric Lightwave operates metro fiber networks in Portland, Seattle, Sacramento, San Francisco, San Jose, Salt Lake City, Spokane and Boise. Zayo was advised by Gibson Dunn & Crutcher LLP in the deal; Electric Lightwave was represented by Latham & Watkins and Gray Plant Mooty.
