Kount announced today that it has raised $80M in is the state's biggest funding round this year. Kount said the funding came from CVC Capital Partners, and will go towards product innovation, global expansion, and enhanced customer support. Kount, which is led by Brad Wiskirchen, develops device security technology, which uses the reputation of IP addresses and mobile devices to reduce fraud for e-commerce and other online providers. The funding makes 2015 a banner year for Boise's startup community, which saw its biggest investment ever in a company--until Kount's funding today--in fellow Boise company CradlePoint
in April.
