IHS says that there is no truth in reports that the company is about to make a bid on
Solera Holdings, a developer of software used for car insurance claims processing. In an unusual denial from the company, IHS Chairman and CEO Jerre Stead specifically reponded to the rumors, saying that the firm is "not pursuing the acquisition of Solera." Solera Holdings recently announced a deal with private equity investor Vista Equity Partners for an acquisition.
Rumors of an IHS bid for Solera first popped up on Friday.
