Occipital Finds $13M For 3D Capture Technology
Boulder- and San Francisco-based Occipital, which develops software development kits (SDKs) to help with 3D motion capture--particularly with videogames, visual effects, and also in medicine, architecture, and other areas--has raised $13M in a Series B funding. The funding came from Foundry Group, K9 Ventures, Intel Capital, Grishin Robotics, and Shea Ventures. The company said the funds go to advance its platform.
