Micron, Seagate Partner On NAND Flash Memory Supply, Technology
Boise, Idaho-based memory maker Micron Technology said Seagate Technology said Thursday that the two are in a new, strategic agreement to work together on SSDs and strategic NAND supply. The two said they also expect the deal to extend into enterprise storage which will feature Micron's NAND flash. Financial details of the partnership were not announced. Seagate said the move allows the company to secure a strategic supply of NAND flash memory, plus enables collaboration on future products and technology.
