Boulder Nearly Loses Patron Saint Of Tech Startups In Biking Accident
Brad Feld
, the patron saint of Boulder's technology scene--and the inspiring force for many, aspiring technology startup regions--suffered a major bicycle accident on Friday, and was taken to the hospital unconscious in an ambulance. Feld said
on his blog that he is okay
, but that the accident is the "end of his biking career". Feld apparently was found unconscious on the side of the road by passers-by, and taken to the hospital by paramedics. Feld is the driving force behind Boulder's rise as one of America's premier cities for startups, having--through both startup accelerator Techstars and his venture capital firm, Foundry Group--helped build the city and the surrounding region into one of the fastest growing technology startup communities in the world.
