Longmont, Colorado-based LED light maker
TerraLUX is taking aim at the market for retrofitting commercial lighting, with a new line of products, the company announced Tuesday. TerraLUX said it has rolled out a new, LED retrofit kit line built to replace pin-based, CFLs, which it says provide energy savings of 50 to 75 percent over those already efficient bulbs. TerraLUX did not announced pricing on its products, but said its new DR Series line bypasses CFL ballasts and reduces installation costs. TerraLUX is venture backed by Access Ventures, Emerald Technology Ventures, and Generation Investment Management.
