MapQuest said over the weekend that it has entered into a partnership with
MLB.com, to release a new smartphone app, plus integrate its tools with MLB.com and all 30 of the MLB's team websites. Financial details of the deal were not disclosed. The companies said that MapQuest will integrate into "MLB.com At the Ballpark", a mobile app which gives fans information about their favorite teams. MapQuest will power all of the mapping and directions information of the app, to provide routing to games. MapQuest also is offering up team-themed MapQuest apps as an add on to its app, so that those maps can feature a fan's favorite team colors, map icons, and more.
