Ping Identity, which provides online identification and single sign-on software, said Friday that it has acquired
accells technologies, a provider of mobile authentication technology. Financial terms of the acquisition were not disclosed. accells technologies was based in Petah Tikva, Israel. According to Ping Identity, the move includes both accells technologies' patented and patent pending technology, as well as a team of mobile engineers in Israel. Ping Identity is led by Andre Durand, and is backed by W Capital Partners, DFJ Growth, General Catalyst Partners, Draper Fisher Jurvetson, Volition Capital, Triangle Peak Partners, SAP Ventures, and Appian Ventures.
