Ping Identity Corp. revealed Tuesday that it has launched a pricing initiative that aims to make licensing the company's federation server platform, PingFederate, more affordable for first-time partners. Under Ping Identity's Federation Endpoint Initiative, a single-connection annual subscription license for PingFederate would start at $9,000. Ping said the new licenses could easily be upgraded to support additional connections as customers' needs grow. Ping added that PingFederate is available for immediate download at its corporate Web site. Headquartered in Denver, Ping Identity develops Internet identity management software, and is venture backed by Appian Ventures, Draper Fisher Jurvetson, Fidelity Ventures, General Catalyst Partners, I-Vent, and SAP Ventures.
