Vivint Invests In Wireless Developer Quantenna
Provo, Utah-based Vivint has made a strategic investment in wireless semiconductor developer Quantenna, as part of Vivint's efforts in the residential broadband-over-Wi-Fi market. According to Quantenna, Vivint Wireless made a strategic investment in Quantenna, along with Swisscom, Telefonica, and NTT. Financial details fo the deal were not disclosed. Vivint Wireless is a unit of Vivint, which is looking to deliver broadband wireless over Wi-Fi, using Quantenna's 802.11ac semiconductors. The two said the deal also calls for the two to work together as strategic partners.
