TechStars, Boomstartup Among Top Startup Accelerators, Says Report
Two startup accelerators in the region are among the top accelerators from among the nation, according to a report released at SXSW this week. The report--from Professor Yael Hochberg of the MIT Sloan School of Management and Professor Susan Cohen of the University of Richmond--put TechStars at number two in the nation, and Boomstartup at number 12, based on the performance of their portfolio,. exits, number of companies in operation, and valuations. The top accelerator in the nation was Silicon Valley's Y Combinator. TechStars is based in Boulder, Colorado, and Boomstartup is located in Salt Lake City, Utah.
