Control4 Links Into Security Cameras, Network Video Recorders
Salt Lake City-based home automation products company Control4 said this morning that it is in the midst of providing better integration with home security systems, by tying its products into a number of home security cameras and network video recorders. Control4 said the increased support for home security comes from the implementation of its own protocol for discovering those devices by security monitoring companies LILIN, Channel Vision, Planet, QNAP and SnapAV. Control4 said those companies have implemented what it calls the Control4 Simple Device Discovery Protocol (SDDP).
