2B or Not 2B: Orbotix Rolls Out Latest Sphero Robot
In the first expansion of its product line--Boulder-based Orbotix has announced the first new robot in a family of robots that Orbotix is developing, the Sphero 2B. The new robot-unlike its original, signature line of robotic balls--features a new form factor driven by two, independent, interchangeable wheels with interchangeable tires and hubcaps. Sphero said it has begun taking pre-orders for the new product on its website. The new device is expected to cost under $1000 and be available in the fall of 2014.
