Tendril, the developer of home energy management and related technology, has tied into
Hitachi Communication Technologies America as part of a strategic partnership, according to the firms. The companies were vague about specifics of the deal, but said the extended relationship lets Hitachi offer an "integrated home experience" that incorporates Tendril's web portal and the Hitachi SuperJ Applications Ecosystem. Hitachi Communications Technologies America is a provider optical networking equipment for long haul, metro, and data center, 4G wireless network equipment, along with connected home and machine-to-machine software. Tendril is led by Adrian Tuck.
