Vivint Solar Gets $540M For Residential Solar Installs
Provo, Utah-based Vivint Solar, the residential solar installation arm of Vivint, has inked a major financing deal today, saying it has raised two rounds of residential solar financing totaling $540M. Vivint did not disclose the name of the two capital providers, but said the funds come from two major financial institutions. Vivint Solar said the funds--which will go towards funding residential solar installs--come on top of $200M in tax equity financing it announced in August. Vivint is a provider of solar photovoltaic installation services nationwide, and says it is now the second largest U.S. residential solar provider.
