Boulder-based independent game development studio
Phobic Studios released a new action title this week, saying that it has launched
Glare, a side-scrolling action game for the Windows, Macintosh and Linux operating systems. The game is being released via Valve's Steam service. Phobic Solutions said Glare was developed at its Boulder studio over the last two years, by a 10-person team. Phobic is one of the developers behind the very popular iOS game DragonVale, which it developed with Backflip Studios; it also has a large portfolio of other, iOS games. Glare looks to be the company's first, PC title, which it says is based on the Unity game engine.
