Zayo Group is continuing to grow out its network, saying this morning that it has acquired Midwestern dark fiber company
FiberLink, LLC. Zayo did not disclose the price it paid for FiberLink, but did say it drew funds from its $250M revolving credit facility for the acquisition. FiberLink provides fiber connectivity between Chicago and Denver, and includes more than 1,200 route miles covering downtown Chicago, Des Moines, and Omaha, Nebraska. Zayo has been aggressively acquiring fiber infrastructure providers over the last few years, and says it now has over 26,000 route miles of dark fiber with associated colocation and technical support services. Overall, Zayo says it now has a network of 75,839 route miles.
