Overstock.com Pledges To Continue Price War With Amazon.com
After sparking an all-out book price war, Salt Lake City-based Overstock.com said Monday that it will price match Amazon.com, and will also provide 15 percent value of book purchases to members of its loyalty program, Club 0, for use towards future purchases. Overstock.com had triggered a round of book price drops at Amazon.com over the last month, by selling its books at 10 percent below Amazon.com's prices. Overstock.com says its new structure would go to "lessens any harm to the mom-and-pop booksellers we consider our comrades in arms."
