Overstock.com, the e-commerce retailer based in Salt Lake City, apparently is considering getting into the locker delivery business, according to reports. Overstock
apparently sent out a survey asking users if they would be receptive to deliveries to Overstock.com lockers, locked boxes placed in public places like office supply stores, drugstores, and other neighborhood locations. Those lockers are similar to efforts by both Amazon and Google to build their own network of locker delivery locations for e-commerce purchases, including Amazon Lockers. The lockers are a solution to the issue of getting deliveries successfully to users, particularly in dense, urban areas or those with poor security and reliability of delivery.
