PlayerLync Finds Funding From Anschutz
Englewood, Colorado-based PlayerLync, a developer of tablet-based software for managing professional and college sports teams, has scored a strategic funding from Anschutz Investment Co. PlayerLync did not disclose financial details of the funding from Denver-based Anschutz. The company said it will use the funding to expand its services and markets. PlayerLync said it already counts 16 National Football League teams, including the Denver Broncos, Green Bay Packers and Chicago Bears, plus teams in basketball, baseball, and hockey, who are using the company's software to manage their teams. The company said it is also targeting industries such as retail and field services. The software currently offers up documents, images, and videos, including game film, scouting reports, playbooks, and more, up via tablet to teams.
