Backflip Studios Sells Majority Stake To Hasbro For $112M
Boulder-based mobile game firm Backflip Studios has sold a 70 percent majority stake in the company to game maker Hasbro, in a deal worth $112M. Backflip said it will remain in Boulder, and continue to be run by its current management team. Backflip publishes a large catalog on mobile game titles, for the Apple iOS, Android, and other platforms. Among the company's titles are Paper Toss and Dragonvale. Backflip Studios sai the deal will give it access to Hasbro's catalog of well-known brands for future mobile development.
