Silverback Learning Solutions, which develops educational software for the K-12 market, said today that it has raised $2.5M in a funding round. The funding came from angel investors. According to Silverback Learning, the funding will go to expand operations and accelerate product development. Silverback Learning was founded by Dr. Jim Lewis. The company's flagship product, Mileposts, is being used across 13 U.S. states, and the company said that 30 percent of the school districts in Idaho are using its software.
