The Boulder startup community is hoping to convince a few more high tech professionals to join the growing community in the town, through Boulder Startup Week. The event--the fourth that has been held in Boulder--has been slated to run from May 15th to 19th. According to the organizers, this year, it will be looking to fly 24 job seekers to Boulder, for free, to meet with Boulder companies.
The organizers of the event said that more than 1,100 people participated in last year's Startup Week. The 24 free flights for job candidates is double the number from last year, when it flew in 12 possible job candidates into the area to both participate in Boulder Startup Week events as well as meet with possible employers; three of those candidates eventually moved to Boulder. Boulder Startup Week said this year, it will be focusing in on bringing in front-end, back-end and full-stack developers into the area.
