Medicity, the provider of health information exchange software, now owned by Aetna, said it has named Nancy Ham as CEO of the company. Ham was most recently at MedVentive, where she was PResident and CEO, and also has served at Sentillion, ProxyMed, ActaMed, and Healtheon/WebMD. Aetna said that Ham replaces Brent Dover, who is leaving to "pursue another opportunity." Aetna acquired Medicity in 2010 for $500M. Medicity provides its software to hospitals, physicians and health information exchanges (HIEs). Dover had been CEO of Medicity at the time of its buyout by Aetna in 2010.
