Parchment Sees Growth
Scottsdale, Arizona-based Parchment, the developer of a service which helps transmit high school transcripts to colleges and universities, said today that it helped transmit nearly 2.8 million transcripts through its service in 2012. The company said the number was a growth of 75 percent, year to year. Parchment says its now has 1,688 schools and universities using its services. Parchment did not disclose any details on what that member growth translates into financially. Parchment is venture backed by The Raine Group, GSV Capital Corp, Novak Biddle, ICG Group, Salmon River Capital, among others, and raised $23.5M in a round in October of 2012.
