Looking to tap into the wealth of advice, mentoring, and help that Boulder-based
TechStars offers to startups? Well, if you've been unable to find a spot at the accelerator's multiple programs across the country, you now have one more place to look: Chicago. TechStars said that it has officially launched
TechStars Chicago, tapping into the city by taking Chicago accelerator Excelerate labs and turning it into the group's latest outpost. TechStars said the program will be led by Troy Henikoff, Sam Yagan, Nick ROsa, and Adam Koopersmith. TechStars said that Excelerate Labs has yielded thirty portfolio companies, who have raised a total of $30M, in its first three years. The move is the first by TechStars to consolidate another program into its efforts; the firm has previously started all of its efforts from scratch.
