Boulder-based startup accelerator TechStars has expanded its boundaries, once again, and has opened up another program--this time, in Austin, Texas. The accelerator, which honed its acceleration model in Boulder, has become quite an operation in the last few years. The accelerator just opened up a new program in London in February, is powering an education accelerator in New York City, and set up shop in Chicago in February.
According to TechStars, the TechStars Austin program will run out of a local, startup office and incubator called the Capital Factory, and it has signed up a long list of local, high tech mentors in Austin as part of the new program. The first class out of the accelerator will launch in August in Austin.
