TechStars Teams With Nike On New Accelerator
Boulder-based startup accelerator TechStars is powering yet another accelerator program--this time, one from Nike. According to Nike, it is launching a brand new accelerator called the Nike Accelerator, which will offer up a three-month, immersive, mentor-driven startup accelerator, all powered by TechStars. The new Accelerator centers around the software interfaces Nike has built for its Nike+ FuelBand, Nike+ Running and NikeFuel products. Nike said the new accelerator will be based in Portland, near Nike's headquarters, with applications for the first program due in February, and the program botting up in mid-March of 2013.
