Boulder-based email delivery and platform provider SendGrid said Tuesday that it has linked with telephony API provider Twilio, in order to allow its enterprise customers to send transactional and marketing emails, SMS, voicemails and push notifications in a unified way. The two said the partnership will reduce the cost and complexity for enterprise customers buildling in-house messaging infrastructure. Both provide similar APIs for developers, making it easier for them to send email (with Sendmail) or text and SMS (with Twilio). Financial details of the link were not disclosed.
