Sphero Debuts Augmented Reality App

When is a robotic ball not a robotic ball? When it's an animated, spunky beaver called Sharky The Beaver, shown on your Android or iPhone. Boulder-based Orbotix, the maker of the Sphero robotic ball, showed its first, augmented reality app. The app turns the Sphero into not a rolling robotic ball, but Sharky The Beaver, who interacts with the real world--allowing users to play a game in a hybrid of real life and the computer world.
