Avnet Buys Two Companies
Phoenix-based electronics distributor Avnet said Friday that it has acquired two companies. The firm said it has agree dto acquire BrightStar Partners Inc. and related firm BSP Software LLC, both of whom are IBM partners and resellers. Financial details of the buy were not disclosed. Avnet said BSP had revenues of approximately $10M in the 2011 calendar year. The firms will become part of Avnet Technology Solutions, Avnet's services arm.
